PART 1: PERSONAL REFLECTION
As I look back and reflect on my long term goals I feel confident that I want to continue a journey of a lifelong learner. I want to utilize all that I have learned from MSUrbanSTEM fellowship to continue exploring online technology to become an active 21st century learner, teacher and leader. This fellowship has exposed me to a variety of online applications that I never even knew existed nor have known how to use. Where I am anticipating change would be moving from an isolated educator to developing a Personal Learning Network (PLN) within and outside of my school community. I would like to continue my professional relationship with MSU instructors and fellows for continuous improvement on instruction, student engagement and learning enhancement.
A goal I have is to build a high diversity measure of my Personal Learning Network by networking and researching many variations of professionals, STEAM subject matters, countries, and online applications. I need to come out of my comfort zone and to continue to explore new applications that will engage all students to work to their full potential, resulting in less disruptions and more student productivity. I would love to teach mini-lessons of apps from my PLN for ALL students to efficiently create and complete ALL assignments.
Moving forward and abandoning the "safe, easy and comfortable past" does take courage and lots of effort. I must be courageous to believe in myself and identify myself as the 21st century learner, teacher and leader that MSUrbanSTEM Fellowship has created me to be. With this mindset, I must continue to collaborate with fellows, learn and share from my PLN, investigate and search for new apps, and build on my strengths to help my students be the best that they can be. Furthermore, when students are the best that they can be, I too, can learn from them, and it is in this safe environment where great learning takes place: where we can learn from one another...A truly AMAZING ImagineIT Outcome!
